The INDEX2007 award is only 7 days away!

“Design to improve life”, as the theme goes, surely also includes packaging.
A few packaging solutions have even found the way to a top nomination.

I watched the IDEO interview with Eric Ryan, the co-founder of Method,  some time ago and I truly sympathize with those guys. They got a great idea and went for it – give them a price!

Their story inspires somebody like me to keep up the spirit – Great work!

DESIGNED BY: Eric Ryan, Adam Lowry and Karim Rashid

Now the rest of us are struggling to get hands on a raw material that can outperform polyofine raw materials. And that is uphill…

Another top nominee is Pangea Organics.

They got a helping hand from the Ideo team to evolve the product and the brand.
This is how they describe the products:

Pangea Organics’s 100% organic body care products improve the lives of direct and non-direct users by pushing the “natural” body care industry to higher standards—in product integrity, packaging, environmental impact, and education—and creating a model of sustainability for other brands to mirror.

DESIGNED BY: Ian Groulx, Amy Leventhal, Marc Woollard, Soren DeOrlow, Joshua Onysko, Heather Lieder & Phil Stob.

Sustainability is the keyword these days!
